Calendar Skills to Practise
✓
Find a specific date: Locate any given date (e.g. "Find the 17th") on the calendar
✓
What day is a date?: Given a date, identify what day of the week it falls on
✓
Count forward: Start on a date, count forward N days to find a future date
✓
Count backward: Start on a date, count back N days to find a past date
✓
Days in the month: How many days does this month have? How many Mondays?
✓
Ordinal dates: "What is the third Friday of the month? The second Tuesday?"
💡 Tip: How to Count Forward on a Calendar
Circle the start date. Then count one square at a time — moving right across the row, then down to the next row. When you run out of the month, continue on the next calendar page.
